As a freelance director and video editor, I’ve had the privilege of working on tons of amazing projects from a YouTube cooking show to branded social media content to short films.
I co-produce La Cocinita de Carolina Ginorio, a YouTube cooking show centered around Puerto Rican food. Carolina is the head honcho and creative director, and I handle all video responsibilities: shooting and editing everything myself.
As someone interested in filmmaking but without the resources to attend film school, I decided to generate my own learning experiences in a project I named Movie Practice. I give myself a storytelling assignment, I go make a short film, I critique my own work, and I make a video essay on the subject I’ve been exploring. Below is my first essay for the channel.
Video content and product videos for brand clients.
My girlfriend and I make TikToks showing people how to cook classic Puerto Rican food. She does the recipes and production design, I do the filming and editing, and she lets me have the first bite.
p.s. She’s an art director, and makes these sick graphics to go with the recipes. Check out some more of her work here.
